About You

You can concisely articulate a concept with passion and excitement. You are analytical and artistic and have a knack for hardware, tools and machines. You are practical, yet creative. You have a meticulous attention to detail. You can leverage the combination of art, business, and engineering knowledge to develop concepts for manufactured items and then perform research to learn how people will use them, how we will market them, and what materials processes & techniques will make these products most functional.

Key Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in consumer products design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Willing to contribute to a family-like team in a fast-paced environment
• Adept at acquiring skills with an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
• Computer and smartphone experience
• Works well in a team collaborative setting; willing to step in to help others
• Quick to take ownership & responsibility of each situation
• Strong work ethic, productivity, and efficiency

Ideal Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, architecture, or engineering
• Knowledge of CAD software applications
• Strong 3D modeling and printing skills
• Understanding of landscape plans
• Experience in landscape lighting and audio component design and function

What You’ll Do

• Develop and iterate designs through sketches, prototypes, renderings and communicating with manufacturers
• Research the various ways a particular product might be used, and who will use it
• Develop products from concept to factory production while keeping within budgets and timelines
• Work with suitable manufacturing partners, sourcing components, and negotiating costs
• Advocate for new products through the entire design and production process from early-stage concept to creation of samples and mass production
